Hey there.
From designing content for a minor league baseball team, to working in a (literal) supply closet designing for the world’s only freeze-dried spherical ice cream, to concepting and writing dynamic and strategic campaigns for the country’s top brands, I’ve done it all. My friends call me “McKenzie Do-It-All Dorris” (no they don’t). I’ve learned how to think outside the box, successfully pivot a creative strategy in a night’s notice, and build a brand voice from the ground up.

There’s nothing I love more than a challenge. That’s probably why
I played Division I volleyball in college (Go Salukis!) and why I moved to South Korea for a year and a half to teach English (and freelance, don't worry). Because when you’re standing in front of a class of students who don’t speak your language, that’s when the creative juices start flowing. I see a lot of similarities between advertising
and teaching: learning your target audience, adjusting your strategy
to fit their needs, and working your ass off to creatively achieve successful acquisition of the product (whether it’s a bag of tortilla chips or the English language).

The gist of it is, I know how to think fast on my feet and face any problem with confidence and determination. I am disciplined
and curious with a can-do attitude that translates into my work.
I believe good design is simple yet intentional, and I strive to create work that speaks for itself.
